First Secretary of the Mersey Division and then director from 1993-1997. Mersey Division’s member of Board of FGDP Royal College of Surgeons since 1995. As a member of the national board of the FGDP he has served on all the working committees chairing the publications, research and examinations committees.
Jointly managing the development of the new MJDF examination with the Faculty of Dental Surgery.
In recognition of his service to the Faculty he was elected Vice Dean of the FGDP in 2004 and 2006.

Following qualification she practised dentistry in the Community Dental Service in Crewe and in General Practice in Australia and New Zealand.
Her Masters Degree was gained in 1985 from Manchester.
The Diploma in General Dental Practice was obtained in 1994.
